30-year-old Alden Bradley Dotson of Stove Drive in Newton was arrested by Catawba County Sheriff’s Officers Saturday (July 8) on a felony warrant as a fugitive awaiting extradition to another state. Dotson is wanted by the Sheriff’s Office in Greenville County, South Carolina for failure to appear on a stolen property charge.

Following his arrest, Dotson was placed in the Catawba County Detention Facility with bond set at $25,000, secured. He remained in jail as of this afternoon (July 10). Dotson was scheduled to make a first appearance in District Court today in Newton.
