49-year-old Christopher Lee Hayes of Plateau Road in Newton was arrested Wednesday (April 19) by Catawba County Sheriff’s Officers. He’s charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and resisting a public officer. Hayes was confined in the Catawba County Detention Facility under $5,000 bond. A District Court appearance was scheduled (April 20).
