22-year-old Jose Luis Ramirez-Barreto of Cody Court in Newton was arrested Tuesday (March 28) by Newton Police Officers. He’s charged with felony counts of breaking & entering and possession of schedule I controlled substance along with a misdemeanor count of injury to real property. Ramirez-Barreto was jailed in the Catawba County Detention Facility under $10,000 bond. A District Court date is scheduled for April 20.
