TAYLORSVILLE, N.C. (WACB) – The Alexander County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Catawba County man. 37-year-old James Michael Chambers of Davis Avenue in Newton, was charged with violation of a domestic violence protection order. He is wanted in Catawba County for felony probation violation and has additional felony charges pending.

Newton Police charged Chambers earlier this year with felony larceny of a motor vehicle and felony possession of a stolen vehicle. He was incarcerated in the Alexander County Detention Center under $510,000. An Alexander County court date is scheduled for October 5.
