Newton Man Faces Felony Firearms Charges; More

39-year-old Adam Quincy Howard of Mays Chapel Church Road in Newton has been arrested by Catawba County Sheriff’s Officers on charges from Catawba and Burke counties. Howard was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, resisting a public officer, driving while license revoked (two counts), possession of drug paraphernalia, operating a vehicle with no insurance, driving or allowing a vehicle to be driven with no registration, reckless driving to endanger, and fictitious or altered title, registration card, or tag. He was also served with a bill of indictment for possession of a firearm by a felon.

Howard was jailed yesterday (October 7) in the Catawba County Detention Facility with bond set at $10,500. District Court appearances were scheduled today and on October 28 with a Superior Court date coming up on Monday (October 11).
