41-year-old Roderick Ricole Ramseur of South Davis Avenue in Newton was arrested Wednesday (February 1) by authorities in Catawba County. He’s charged with felony counts of possession of controlled substance on prison or jail premises, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of cocaine along with a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia. Ramseur was confined in the Catawba County Detention Facility under $10,000 bond. A District Court appearance is scheduled next Monday (February 6).
