25-year-old Shamel Lauque Lineberger of Kilborne Drive in Newton was arrested by Newton Police Officers. He’s charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, robbery with a dangerous weapon, and resisting a public officer. Lineberger was placed in the Catawba County Detention Facility this morning (June 15) under $50,000 bond. A District Court date is set for Thursday (June 16).
