32-year-old Brandon Michael Beatty of North Main Avenue in Newton was arrested Wednesday (November 1) by Newton Police Officers. He’s charged with possession of methamphetamine, simple possession of schedule VI controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Beatty was placed in the Catawba County Detention Facility, where he remained as of earlier today (November 2) without bond. A District Court appearance was scheduled today.
