28-year-old Bricson Cliffton Lineberger of Newton was arrested Monday (June 10) by Newton Police Officers. He’s charged with murder. He’s charged in connection to the shooting death of 51-year-old Kelvin Jerome England of Hickory.

Monday, at approximately 3:15 p.m., the Newton Police Department received a call from a citizen in reference to a shooting that had just occurred at the corner of South Brady Avenue and East A Street in Newton. When officers arrived on the scene, there was a man inside a vehicle stopped at the stop sign. The individual was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
