42-year-old Anthony Mack Dorland of West 13th Street in Newton was arrested Sunday (February 26) by Hickory Police Officers. He’s charged with felony counts of possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver methamphetamine and obtaining property by false pretense. Dorland is also charged with misdemeanor counts of simple possession of schedule IV controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He’s also charged with traffic counts including driving while license revoked.

Dorland was confined in the Catawba County Detention Facility under $9,000 bond. He remained in jail as of earlier today (February 28). A District Court date is scheduled for March 27.
