30-year-old John Thomas Harris of East 13th Street in Newton was arrested Monday (May 1) by Newton Police Officers. He’s charged with felony possession of methamphetamine along with misdemeanor counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and show cause. Harris was jailed in the Catawba County Detention Facility under $1,000 bond. A District Court date is scheduled for May 9.
