31-year-old Damian Allen Costner of East 9th Street in Newton was arrested by Newton Police today (February 22) on a felony warrant as a fugitive awaiting extradition to another state. Costner is wanted by the Hamblen County Sheriff’s Office in Morristown, Tennessee for solicitation of a minor to observe sexual conduct. It’s his second arrest this month after having previously been arrested by Newton Police on February 8 on the same charge, previously reported by WHKY on February 9.

Following Wednesday’s arrest, Costner was jailed in the Catawba County Detention Facility where he is being held without bond. An appearance in District Court was scheduled today in Newton with another court date coming up on March 9.
