NEWTON, N.C. (WHKY) – The N.C. Department of Transportation will activate new traffic signals on a Catawba County road early next week. Crews will activate the new traffic signals at the N.C. 10 and Southfork Drive intersection in Newton Tuesday morning (September 8). This is near Love’s travel stop.

The signals were set to a flashing mode Wednesday afternoon and will remain in that mode until the signals are operational to alert drivers to the upcoming change in the traffic pattern. For real-time travel information, visit www.DriveNC.gov or follow NCDOT on social media.
