New Strategic Plan Approved By Caldwell Commissioners

On Monday (July 10) the Caldwell County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved the newly created Economic Development Strategic Plan.

“The new Caldwell County Economic Development Strategic Plan is designed as a living document that is flexible and able to meet the everchanging needs of the community,” said Ashley Bolick, Director of Caldwell County Economic Development. “The Economic Development Advisory Committee plans to annually evaluate the plan and suggest updates when needed.”

Designed to give guidance to Caldwell Economic Development, the Strategic Plan consists of four action areas: Existing Industry Support, Site Development & Recruitment, Public Awareness & Marketing and Other Opportunities for Collaboration, Education & Support. The plan includes metrics to help gauge success and lists the various collaborative partnerships for each of the areas of interest.

With the approval of the plan, Bolick plans to visit municipalities and civic organizations to explain how the plan will help them interact with the County in future economic development endeavors and to receive additional input on the implementation of the plan.
