New Sober Living Facility Open In Hickory

The Catawba County Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting at New Beginnings Hickory today (September 1). Located at 706 Main Ave SE in Hickory, New Beginnings Hickory is a safe, substance free, sober living facility for men. A structured program provides the residents a place to engage, recover fully and access the vibrant recovery community in Hickory.

Jess Lamphere, the Executive Director says “We provide accountability, promote hope, develop personal responsibility, and cultivate independence for men to recover from alcohol and drug abuse.” Hickory Mayor Hank Guess was among the local dignitaries on hand for today’s event.

New Beginnings Hickory will be hosting a community-wide open house on Saturday, September 18, at 5:30 p.m. The public is invited to the open house which includes tours of the facility and free pulled pork bbq. For more information on New Beginnings, go to their website, www.nbhickory.org.
