New Online Program For Educators Available At CVCC

Catawba Valley Community College announces its new online Educator Preparation Program (EPP): Cultivating Carolina Classrooms. The EPP is part of the existing Early Childhood and Teacher Preparation curriculum programs, offered through CVCC’s School of Community Development & Public Services Education.

An Educator Preparation Program (EPP) is designed to help prospective educators to get the skills and knowledge needed to teach in their chosen grade and subject. There are programs that cater to almost anyone’s life situation, the most common are Traditional licensure, degree seeking and Alternative licensure.

EPP offers a pathway to elementary education licensure for current K-6 teachers who have completed a non-education-related bachelor’s degree and have obtained a position in a school system that requires a teaching license. The EPP is a three semester program consisting of seven online classes.

The program starts in August 2024. For more information about CVCC’s Cultivating Carolina Classrooms Educator Preparation Program or to learn more about the Early Childhood & Teacher Preparation programs at CVCC, contact Andra Ingle at aingle@cvcc.edu or call 828-327-7000 extension 4515.
