New Exhibit & Planetarium Show to Open at Catawba Science Center

The Catawba Science Center will launch a new exhibit on July 10. “Expanding Horizons: The Solar System & Beyond” is a permanent exhibit in the Hall of Astronomy, located just outside the Millholland Planetarium. The exhibit gives patrons the chance to explore the solar system and learn about space travel. Included is a Mars pod that allows visitors to experience what it would be like to live on the red planet. A new planetarium show entitled “Destination Mars” will be narrated by former NASA astronaut Mae Jemison.
