Names Of People Shot In Troutman Incident Released
The names of the individuals shot during a weekend incident have been released. WHKY previously reported on this shooting, which occurred Saturday (November 4) in Troutman. 20-year-old Zachary Craig of Charlotte and 18-year-old Alexander Hipple of Mooresville were both shot in the 200 block of Mills Avenue while traveling in Craig’s vehicle.
Zachary Craig was the driver of the vehicle and drove to 520 North Main Street where he sought help at the Food Lion located at that address. The Troutman Police Department, Troutman Fire-Rescue, and Iredell County EMS arrived on the scene. Alexander Hipple was pronounced deceased as a result of his injuries. Zachary Craig was transported to a regional medical center where he was treated and has since been released.
The Troutman Police Department has requested the assistance of the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation and investigators with the department and SBI agents are currently following up on several leads. There is no suspect information that can be released at this time.
