A fatal shooting is under investigation in Burke County. The deceased is 41-year-old Brandi Deal of Clark Loop in Morganton.

On Friday (February 10) the Burke County Sheriff’s Office and Burke County EMS responded to a cardiac arrest at the home of the deceased on Clark Loop. Upon arrival, first responders found Brandi Deal with what appeared to be gunshot wounds.  

The Burke County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division responded to the scene and is currently investigating the incident as a homicide. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Burke County Sheriff’s Office at 828-438-5500.  A reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest.  All tips will remain anonymous.
