32-year-old Heidi Lynne Epley of Old Highway 18 in Morganton has been arrested by Burke County Sheriff’s Officers on felony counts of maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine, trafficking in meth, possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver meth, and possession of a schedule II controlled substance (fentanyl). She was also charged with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

On October 17, Narcotics Officers and Investigators with the Criminal Investigations Division executed a search warrant at Epley’s residence. During the search, Investigators reportedly found Epley to be in possession of approximately 78 grams of meth, approximately 3.4 grams of fentanyl, and about two grams of marijuana.

Epley was confined in the Burke County Jail where she is being held without bond. She’ll appear in District Court on November 6. In addition, Epley has an October 30 court date for possession of a firearm by a felon.
