Morganton Woman Jailed On Charges Of Fleeing From Police, Meth Trafficking
35-year-old Destiny Nicole Miller of Johns River Road in Morganton was arrested last Friday (April 21) by Burke County Sheriff’s Officers. She’s charged with felony counts of flee to elude arrest with a motor vehicle, traffic in methamphetamine, and possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver meth. She’s also charged with reckless driving to endanger, speeding, and driving while license revoked.
According to the North Carolina Department Of Adult Correction Offender Public Information website, Miller has convictions dating back to 2014. She’s been convicted in Alexander, Burke and Caldwell Counties of charges including felony possession of schedule II controlled substance, larceny after breaking & entering, attempted larceny over $1,000, and attempted larceny.
Miller was arrested shortly after 5 p.m. Friday and was placed in jail in Morganton. She remained in jail as of earlier today under $75,000 secured bond. A District Court appearance is scheduled for May 15.
