31-year-old Brianna Wheeler Moose of Buckhorn Tavern Road in Morganton was arrested Monday (May 22) by Morganton Public Safety Officers. She’s charged with felony possession of schedule II controlled substance (methamphetamine).

Shortly after 11 p.m. Monday a Public Safety Officer responded to Dollar General on East Fleming Drive in Morganton in reference to a man and woman shoplifting. When the officer arrived, they made contact with both individuals. After making contact with the man and woman, Moose was placed under arrest for possessing methamphetamine.

Following her arrest, Moose was brought to the Burke County Jail under $5,000 secured bond. She was not listed as an inmate as of earlier today (May 26). A first appearance in court was scheduled for this past Tuesday (May 23). No upcoming court dates were listed.
