29-year-old Keldijah Timette Hood of Rockyford Street in Morganton was arrested Tuesday (February 14) by Morganton Public Safety Officers. She’s charged with felony obtaining property by false pretense.

On Tuesday just before 1:30 p.m., a traffic stop was conducted on Avery Avenue at Short Street in Morganton on a silver 2006 Mercury Grand Marquee due to an expired registration. The vehicle’s registration expired October 15, 2022. The owner, Keldijah Hood, was driving the vehicle. The officer also learned that Hood had a warrant for arrest for obtaining property by false pretense.

Hood was brought to the Burke County Jail under $3,000 secured bond. She is not listed as an inmate today (February 15). A District Court appearance is scheduled Thursday (February 16) in Morganton.
