33-year-old Violet Dessie Foster of Crystal Creek Road in Morganton was arrested Wednesday (October 18) by Burke County Sheriff’s Officers.

On Wednesday (October 18) the Avery County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance from the Burke County Sheriff’s Office with locating Violet Dessie Foster of Morganton. Foster had an outstanding warrant for arrest on larceny of a firearm in Avery County and an outstanding warrant for arrest for assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and resisting a public officer out of Iredell County. Avery County Sheriff’s Office Detectives had information that Foster was located at 4760 Crystal Creek Road, Morganton. Foster was located at the neighboring residence on Crystal Creek Road and was taken into custody without incident. The stolen firearm from Avery County was also recovered during the arrest and investigation at 4760 Crystal Creek Road.

Foster was placed in the Burke County Jail under a 48-hour hold or until a Judicial Official could set her bond.
