Morganton Woman Charged With Felony Break-in, Theft Offenses

45-year-old Tammy Marie Bollinger, who is listed as a homeless person in Morganton, was arrested by Burke County Sheriff’s Officers. She’s charged with felony counts of breaking & entering, larceny after breaking & entering, and possession of stolen goods or property.

Bollinger was arrested shortly before 5:30 p.m. on December 21. She was taken into custody at an address on Old N.C. 10 in Hickory. Following the arrest, Bollinger was brought before a magistrate then transported to the Burke County Jail.

According to the North Carolina Department Of Adult Correction Offender Public Information website, Tammy Marie Bollinger has multiple convictions listed dating back to 1996. She’s been convicted in Burke, Catawba, and Davidson Counties of multiple crimes including felony assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. All of the other listed convictions are for misdemeanor offenses, with the most recent being in April, 2023 in Catawba County for second-degree trespass.

Bollinger is also facing charges in Catawba County that include felony larceny by removing an anti-shoplifting device. Following the Burke County arrest she was placed in the Burke County Jail under a 48-hour-hold. As of earlier today (December 28), Bollinger was not listed as an inmate in Burke or Catawba County. She has a Burke County District Court date January 5, an appearance in Catawba County District Court is set for January 10.
