34-year-old Chasity Dawn Ross of Snowhill Church Road in Morganton was arrested Monday (August 28) by Morganton Public Safety Officers. She’s charged with felony possession with intent to manufacture schedule II controlled substance and misdemeanor failure to appear on a count of failure to comply.

Shortly before 2 p.m. Monday, Public Safety Officers responded to an address on South Green Street for a warrant service. Ross was arrested and brought to the Burke County Jail.

According to the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction Offender Public Information website, Chasity Dawn Ross has multiple convictions dating back to 2007. She’s been convicted in Burke, McDowell, Gaston & Forsyth Counties of various crimes. The most recent conviction was in June of this year in Burke County for felony possession of schedule II controlled substance.

Ross was incarcerated in the Burke County Jail under $8,000 secured bond. She remained in jail as of earlier today. A District Court date was scheduled Tuesday (August 29).
