Morganton Woman Charged With Drug Offenses Following Traffic Stop
34-year-old Linda Nicole Gladden, who is listed as a homeless person from Morganton, was arrested Friday (April 28) by Morganton Public Safety Officers. She’s charged with felony possession of schedule II controlled substance along with two misdemeanor counts of domestic violence protective order violation and one misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia. Gladden is also charged with driving while license revoked.
At approximately 8:30 p.m. Friday a Public Safety Officer conducted a traffic stop on a gray 2003 Toyota Camry that was traveling without headlights or tail lights. The vehicle was stopped on Burkemont Avenue at Salem Road in Morganton. The officer made contact with the driver, who was identified as Linda Gladden. 1.9 grams of methampehtamine was reportedly seized during the traffic stop. Gladden was placed under arrest on the drug charges and was also charged with the traffic offense.
Gladden was brought to the Burke County Jail under a $5,000 secured bond. She is not listed as an inmate in Burke County today (May 1). District Court appearances were scheduled today, May 22, and August 11.
