52-year-old Allen Lee Henson of Mountain View Drive in Morganton was arrested Thursday (January 26) by Burke County Sheriff’s Officers. He’s charged with felony counts of possession of schedule II controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver schedule II controlled substance along with a misdemeanor count of probation violation.

Henson is on probation as a result of a conviction in September, 2022, in Caldwell County for misdemeanor operating a vehicle without a license. He received a 12 month suspended sentence. Henson was arrested just after 1:30 p.m. Thursday and placed in jail in Morganton where he remained as of earlier today (January 27) under $34,000 secured bond. District Court dates were scheduled today and March 6, a Superior Court appearance is set for February 27.
