MORGANTON, N.C. (WHKY) – A Burke County man is facing drug and fraud charges following an arrest early Tuesday morning (September 1). According to the Morganton Department of Public Safety, 26-year-old Jacob Casey Ray was charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and fraud of a financial transaction card.

Ray was booked into the Burke County Jail shortly after 1:15 a.m. Tuesday. He was issued a $3,000 surety bond on the drug charge and a $500 surety bond on the financial transaction. A September 21 court date is scheduled.
