40-year-old Paul Owen Lowman of Watershed Road in Morganton was arrested last Wednesday, October 11, by Morganton Public Safety Officers. He’s charged with felony possession of schedule II controlled substance (methamphetamine) and misdemeanor failure to appear on a count of failure to comply.

Shortly after 2 p.m. last Wednesday a Public Safety Officer was en-route to a business on Fiddlers Run Boulevard in Morganton in reference to a disturbance call. Lowman was arrested shortly before 2:30 p.m. following a search of the suspect and his property.

Lowman was brought to the Burke County Jail and incarcerated under $3,000 secured bond. He remained in jail as of earlier today (October 18). His first court date was scheduled last Thursday (October 12). Lowman’s next appearance in Burke County District Court is scheduled for November 2 in Morganton.
