More Information Released In Connection To Arrests Of Suspects In Assault, Robbery Case

The Alexander County Sheriff’s Office released additional information on the arrests of two suspects in an assault and robbery case, reported earlier this week on WHKY.

39-year-old Shemeka Lanette Little and 43-year-old James Eric Miller, both of Taylorsville, were arrested Monday (May 2) by authorities in Alexander County. Both suspects were charged with felony counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon and assault inflicting serious bodily injury.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the victim in the incident was a woman who suffered injuries as the result of an attack with a baseball bat. The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment of serious but non life-threatening injuries. Authorities say that cash and a debit card were reportedly stolen during the incident.

Both suspects were placed in the Alexander County Detention Center in Taylorsville. Little’s bond was set at $200,000 secured and Miller was jailed under $100,000 secured bond. They both remained in jail as of earlier today (May 5). They’re both scheduled to appear in District Court in Taylorsville May 23.
