“Moral March to the Polls Tour” Coming to Hickory Saturday

The Moral March to the Polls Tour is coming to Hickory this Saturday (February 17) at 4 p.m. The event will be held at the Exodus Missionary Outreach Church, 1763 Highland Avenue in Hickory.

Among those attending are Bishop William J. Barber, II, the Repairers of the Breach, the North Carolina Poor People’s Campaign, Exodus Homes, and other partners and faith leaders. The tour is statewide effort to bring attention to the “Mass Poor People’s & Low-Wage Workers March,” scheduled for Saturday, March 2 in Raleigh and simultaneously in 30 other states on the same date.

After the program, volunteers will canvas low-income communities nearby to register people to vote. Early voting began in North Carolina today (February 15).
