Fire destroyed a mobile home Saturday (April 1) in Alexander County. According to reports, the home had no power, however, according to Assistant Fire Marshall Garrett Huffman, heavy winds blew a live power line onto the structure.

Units from Taylorsville, Hiddenite and Wittenburg responded to the vacant, single-wide mobile home on Crouch Road shortly before 7 p.m. Saturday. There were no injuries.
