Missing Child Found, Reported To Be Safe, Grandmother Charged

A child who was reported missing has been found and is reported to be safe. The woman who authorities say abducted him has been charged in this case. As WHKY previously reported, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office was searching for four-year-old Justin Antwan Tillman, who they say had been abducted by his maternal grandmother, Johannah Lavonne Tillman.

On Monday (October 11), Lincoln County Sheriff’s detectives executed a search warrant and located the missing child. Officers went to the residence of Johannah Tillman on Osprey Creek Circle, that’s where they found Justin Tillman. He is reported to be safe and has been returned to his biological mother. Tillman had not been seen in person since June 14, 2021.

A Lincoln County Judge ordered Johannah Tillman to return the child to his biological mother by noon last Friday (October 8) and she failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest. The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office reported that Johannah Tillman had been evading law enforcement and her whereabouts were unknown.

She was arrested Monday and charged with misdemeanor criminal contempt. Tillman is not listed as an inmate in Lincoln County. A District Court was scheduled Monday. No upcoming court dates were listed.
