Crews in Caldwell County found 81-year-old Nina Wood Davis conscious and alert at about 11 o’clock this morning (February 15). She was found approximately 300 meters from her home.

The N.C. Center for Missing Persons had issued a Silver Alert for Ms. Davis late last night after she was last seen at an address on Rebel Run in Granite Falls. Ms. Davis is believed to be suffering from dementia or Alzheimer’s.

Caldwell County Emergency Services was assisted by the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office, as well as by crews from the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office, Linville Central Rescue, Watauga County Emergency Management, North Catawba Fire & Rescue, Little River Fire & Rescue, the Department of Corrections, and the North Carolina Highway Patrol, plus fire departments from Sawmills, Grace Chapel, Hudson, Patterson, Boone, Gamewell, and Granite Falls.
