Meth Trafficking Arrest Reported By Authorities In Caldwell County

57-year-old Billy Ray Potter of Pioneer Trail in Hudson was arrested Friday (March 8) by Caldwell County Sheriff’s Officers. He’s charged with felony trafficking methamphetamine by possession.

On Friday, the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office ICE Unit responded to a residence that they believed was being used for selling methamphetamine. Officers searched a home on Pioneer Trail in Hudson. Agents conducted a search of the home and found approximately 248 grams of meth, a .45 caliber handgun and U.S. currency.

The meth seized during the investigation has a street value of $42,000. As a result of the discovery of the drugs, Potter was taken into custody without incident. If convicted, he faces mandatory prison time. Potter was incarcerated in the Caldwell County Detention Center under a $75,000 secured bond. He has a first appearance in District Court scheduled today (March 11).
