Meth Trafficking Among Charges Filed Against Hickory Man

40-year-old Calvin Steven Parker of Berry Road in Hickory was arrested by Burke County Sheriff’s Officers. He’s charged with felony counts of trafficking in methamphetamine and maintaining a vehicle, dwelling, or place for controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to information released today (December 31), on December 18, 2020, North Carolina Probation and Parole Officers went to 3929 Berry Road, Hickory, and made contact with probationer Calvin Steven Parker. Probation Officers requested Burke County Sheriff’s Office Detectives to assist with their search of the residence.

Drug paraphernalia and a trafficking amount of methamphetamine were found in Parker’s bedroom. The suspect was placed in the Burke County Jail under $50,000 secured bond. A Court date is scheduled for January 11 in Morganton.
