33-year-old Anna Marie Deal of Thomas Drive in Newton was arrested today (February 8) by Newton Police Officers. She’s charged with traffic in methamphetamine, possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver schedule II controlled substance, maintaining a vehicle, dwelling or place for controlled substance, possession of heroin, simple possession of schedule IV controlled substance, possession of marijuana up to one-half ounce, and carrying a concealed gun.

Deal was placed in the Catawba County Detention Facility under $50,000 bond. A District Court date is scheduled Thursday (February 9).
