30-year-old Ronnie William McCurdy of Taylorsville has been sentenced to serve sixty days in jail. On Monday (February 6), an Alexander County District Court Judge ordered McCurdy to serve the sixty days in the Alexander County Detention Center for felony probation violations.

McCurdy is on probation as a result of convictions in October, 2021 in Iredell County for possession of drug paraphernalia and October 2022 in Catawba County for possession of stolen goods. McCurdy received probation and an 18 month suspended sentence following both convictions.
