According to a news release issued Tuesday (March 7), on October 26, 2022, a report was filed with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office in reference to suspicious people walking around the fenced property of Carolina KTM and setting off the security alarm. On November 2, a report was filed by the business in reference to a break-in during which twelve motorcycles and seven battery-operated bikes were stolen. The total monetary loss was close to $127,000.
On November 16, Iredell County Sheriff’s Officers responded to an alarm at Carolina KTM. Deputies responded quickly and prevented a break-in. The suspects fled the scene by using a stolen Penske truck which had been parked at a business next door. During the investigation, camera footage was obtained from surrounding businesses that showed a suspect vehicle and a box truck on two different occasions. The vehicle was identified as being owned by the suspect, Terrell Joseph Williams.
It was learned that Williams was at Carolina KTM during the time of the breaking and entering. This was verified through the camera footage obtained by police. Based on the evidence, Williams was arrested and charged.
He is currently in custody at the Union County Jail in Monroe under a $6,370,000 secured bond for his alleged involvement in the incidents in Iredell and other counties.
