32-year-old Kyle Lang Houston of Brookshire Lane in Statesville was arrested Thursday (February 2) by Statesville Police Officers. He’s charged with three felony counts of indecent liberties with a child and two felony counts of statutory sex offense with a child by an adult.

On January 23, 2023, a report was filed with the Statesville Police Department in reference to a child who had been sexually assaulted. The child was taken to the Dove House Advocacy Center and was interviewed by a forensic interviewer. During the interview, the child disclosed the sexual assaults that had taken place.

A search warrant was obtained for the residence of Kyle Lang Houston. The search was conducted Thursday by investigators with the Statesville Police Department and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (NCSBI). Additional evidence was obtained during the search of Houston’s residence.

On Thursday, Houston turned himself in at the Iredell County Detention Center where he was taken into custody by the Statesville Police Department. Houston was placed in jail under $500,000 secured bond. A District Court date is scheduled for February 10. The investigation is continuing.
