A Hickory man was placed in the Catawba County Detention Facility following his arrest on a felony armed robbery charge.

According to the Catawba County jail roster, 40-year-old Barry Frederick Brown Holdren of 20th Avenue Drive NE in Hickory was arrested on June 7 and charged with Robbery With a Dangerous Weapon.

Jail records show Holdren was scheduled to make his first court appearance in Catawba County District Court Monday (June 8).
