NEWTON, N.C. (WHKY) — A man is being held under a $150,000 bond in connection with a felony fleeing case.

43-year-old Stacy Alan Clinton, who is listed as homeless, was taken into custody Tuesday (August 18) by the Burke County Sheriff’s Office.

According to Catawba County Detention Facility records, Clinton is charged with felony fleeing to elude arrest with a motor vehicle, driving with a revoked license, reckless driving with wanton disregard and speeding. The charges are associated with an alleged incident on July 30.

Clinton was jailed in the Catawba County Detention Facility. The charges are filed in Newton District Court.

Clinton is also being held on an unrelated misdemeanor larceny charge filed in Gastonia District Court. No additional information regarding the alleged pursuit was available.
