TAYLORSVILLE, N.C. (WHKY) – A Burke County man is charged with allegedly threatening violence at a local facility. The alleged crime was committed in Alexander County. 62-year-old Jason Jerome Brown of Kathy Road in Morganton, was taken into custody on Saturday (September 12) by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office.

The charges include assault on a female, assault, and communicating threats. According to our news partner WACB, arrest documentation reveals the suspect allegedly threatened to kill all the residents at an assisted living facility. Brown was being held without bond in the Alexander County Detention Center pending a Monday (September 14) court appearance.
