Man Charged With String Of Drug Charges, Narcotics & Firearms Seized
34-year-old Justin Lewis Ostwalt of Dillon Drive in Statesville was arrested by Iredell County Sheriff’s Officers. He’s charged with felony counts of trafficking fentanyl, possession of methamphetamine and marijuana, possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana, maintaining a dwelling for controlled substance, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He’s also charged with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
On August 11, 2023, deputies with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Aggressive Criminal Enforcement (ACE) Team responded to an address on Dillon Drive in Statesville after receiving an anonymous tip about illegal drug and weapon activity through the Iredell Sheriff’s Office app. After further investigation deputies learned the resident inside the home was Justin Lewis Ostwalt, a convicted felon with outstanding warrants for arrest.
As the deputies arrived at the residence a man matching the description of Ostwalt retreated inside the home. A woman eventually came to the door and escorted the deputies inside to look for Ostwalt. While in the basement, a large amount of marijuana was reportedly seen along with multiple firearms. Ostwalt was quickly found inside a locked bathroom.
Ostwalt was placed under arrest without incident. During a search of the residence, 254 grams of marijuana, 14 grams of marijuana wax, 8.14 grams of pressed fentanyl pills, and .01 grams of methamphetamine were seized. Five firearms and 300 rounds of ammunition were also seized due to Ostwalt being a convicted felon.

Ostwalt was jailed in the Iredell County Detention Center under $352,000 secured bond. he remained in jail as of earlier today (August 21). A District Court date is set for August 30.
