50-year-old Terry Wayne Rudisill of Madison Street in Lincolnton was arrested Tuesday (July 11) by Lincoln County Sheriff’s Officers. He’s charged with two counts of statutory sex offense with a child and three counts of taking indecent liberties with a child.

On April 17, 2023 the Lincolnton Police Department learned of a victim in a case allegedly involving the suspect, Terry Wayne Rudisill. The victim told officers the incidents occurred in 2016 while she was staying at a residence in western Lincoln County. Upon learning of the location Lincolnton Police transferred the case to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.

During the investigation the investigating detective learned of three incidents between Rudisill and the female victim who was a 15-year-old juvenile at the time. The claims of the now 22-year-old female now living in Tennessee, were investigated, and presented to the District Attorney’s Office where a decision was made to pursue charges.

Rudisill turned himself in at the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday. He was released after posting $75,000 secured bond. A District Court date is scheduled for August 1.
