40-year-old Cody Warren Myers of Harmony Grove Road in Nebo was arrested by Burke County Sheriff’s Officers. He’s charged with seven counts of felony statutory rape of a child under 15 and three counts of felony statutory sex offense with a child under 15.

Last Friday (August 7), the Burke County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation into a reported sex offense involving a child. At the conclusion of the investigation, arrest warrants were issued for Cody Warren Myers, charging him with the ten felony counts. On Tuesday (August 11) Myers was taken into custody and transported to the Burke County Magistrate’s Office, where he was served with the outstanding warrants.

Myers was denied bond and was placed in the Burke County Jail. He’s scheduled to appear in court Thursday (August 13).
