51-year-old Rodney Dean Matlock of Hiddenite was arrested Monday (May 9) by Alexander County Sheriff’s Officers. He’s charged with felony counts of possession of methamphetamine and possession of cocaine, along with misdemeanor counts of possession of schedule III controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and revoked or suspended tag. Matlock was arrested following a traffic stop Monday night and placed in the Alexander County Detention Center under $25,000 secured bond. He is scheduled to make a District Court appearance May 16.
