37-year-old Joseph Ryan Perry of Ginger Lane in Mooresville was arrested by Iredell County Sheriff’s Officers. He’s charged with five counts of felony indecent liberties with a child and two counts of felony statutory sex offense against a child.

On August 18, 2023, a report was filed with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding a juvenile having been sexually assaulted. Based on information gathered during the investigation, felony warrants for arrest were obtained for Joseph Ryan Perry.

According to the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction Offender Public Information website, Joseph Ryan Perry has multiple convictions in Iredell County dating back to 2002. The most recent conviction was in November of 2021 for felony habitual misdemeanor assault.

Last Friday, August 25, Perry was arrested and transported to the Iredell County Detention Center under a $1,050,000 secured bond. He remained in jail as of earlier today (August 30). A District Court date is set for September 13. This investigation is ongoing, and more charges are possible.
