Man Charged With Felony, Misdemeanor Drug Offenses Following Traffic Stop

34-year-old Xzavior Ty’ric Green of Charlotte was arrested Sunday (March 5) by Iredell County Sheriff’s Officers. He’s charged with felony counts of possession with intent to sell or deliver schedule I controlled substance (ecstasy), possession of methamphetamine, and possession of marijuana. Green is also charged with misdemeanor counts of possession of schedule II controlled substance (oxycodone), and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also served an order for arrest charging him with being an habitual felon.

On Sunday, an Iredell County Sheriff’s Officer conducted a traffic stop on a Dodge Durango for an equipment violation and for displaying a fictitious tag. When the officer approached the vehicle, he spoke with the driver, Xzavior Ty’Ric Green and advised him of the reason for the traffic stop. When the officer asked Green for his driver’s license, Green said he did not have one. While continuing to speak with Green about his license, the officer saw marijuana and a partially smoked marijuana cigarette in the ashtray.

The officer performed a license and criminal record check. He learned Green’s license was revoked and there was an outstanding order for arrest out of Cabarrus County for habitual felon. Green was arrested at the scene on the outstanding warrant and a search of his vehicle was performed.

During the search, police reportedly found 70 dosage units of ecstasy, 2.46 grams of meth, 32.07 grams of marijuana, three dosage units of oxycodone, drug paraphernalia, and $877 in cash. Green was taken to the Iredell County Detention Center under $100,000 dollars secured bond. He was not listed as an inmate in Iredell County today (March 10). A District Court date is scheduled for March 27.
